English schools in Europe
ISBerne is a non-profit, parent-owned day school serving the diplomatic, academic and business community in the cantons of Berne, Fribourg, Neuchâtel and Solothurn.
ISBerne is accredited by the Council of International Schools and New England Association of Schools and Colleges. We are an International Baccalaureate World School authorized to offer all three IB Programmes – Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma - and provide an international education in English for over 280 students from 40 countries.
The International School of Berne (ISBerne) provides a high quality academic programme which encourages students to be reflective and involved in the learning process. This starts in the Early Learning Centre and progresses through to Grade 12.
Our dedication to excellence in international education has been part of the school drive to develop as an International Baccalaureate World School. The school's IB Diploma programme was established in 1997; we were authorised to offer the IB Primary Years Programme in January 2007 and the IB Middle Years Programme in April 2007. We are one of only 100 IB schools worldwide authorised to offer all three IB programmes
Students at ISBerne are prepared for the future, a life of challenges, understanding of cultural diversity and the ability to work with others.
ISBerne was first accredited by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges in 1984 and reaccredited in 1994 and 2004.
