English schools in the USA and Canada
The historic Blake Mansion, completed in 1872, now serves as the home of our Toronto TEFL school. Since 1872, this building has been home to the second Premier of Ontario, among other influential heads of state. From 1985 until very recently, the building housed the Humewood Art Gallery. Today, this excellent example of Victorian architecture is a government of Canada Heritage Site, as well as being where students study English or train to become certified English teachers. It is located in the center of downtown Toronto, within walking distance from the Wellesley subway station, the famous Eaton's Center and a quick 10 minutes from the CN Tower via subway.
The full-time TEFL course is a very intense 5 week program. We recommend that students who enroll in this program do not have any other work or personal commitments outside the course. Often times outside work must be completed in order to be successful in this program.
The 11 week part-time program is a good option for those who are currently engaged in work or personal commitments. Although it is a part-time, there is still homework to be completed during these 11 weeks.
There are a wide range of housing options available, ranging from dorms to hostels and homestays. Our course director can assist you in finding the right option for you.
