Travel Tips
Are you planning to travel on an airplane this summer? If so, keeping your luggage safe should be a priority. Here are a few tips to help.
You should start by putting a couple of address tags on each bag, even your carry on. It should have your name, address and phone number listed clearly. If you have it available, also put the phone number where you are visiting.
Put a copy of your travel itinerary inside each bag. This will help if the airport is required to open you bags to find information.
Do not lock your luggage. They will cut the lock. They have every right to look inside your luggage, so carry all breakables and valuables in your carry on.
Wrap the clothes inside your luggage inside plastic bags. This can help prevent them getting wet in the event there is a storm. A lot of times luggage has to change planes. I had a friend get a pair of pants inside her luggage ruined by the rain.
Make a list of the items in your luggage and carry it on the plane with you. This is an inventory you may use in the event you think something may be missing.
