i was asked to pay £350, which i did then the british School in abu dabi asked for more money... then i got suspious they were asking for almost £800, which i did not... but i still feel a bit silly paying the initial amount... the school, contract and even the UAE website was so so so 'real' i got conned. it is only when they asked for further funds it did not feel right...but there you go it is lesson i have learnt - never to part with your hard earned money.... teachers be ware - do not send any money to any foreign land...i was desperate to get a job as my contract terminated and saw an opportunity - it was a mistake.just be careful.

I almost got scammed by someone who advertised a teaching position at Dubai British School. The school exsists, as does the principle that they pretended to be. However, when I was asked to deposit money for the Ministry of labour, to gain a work visa and labour card, and the account was in someones name, Mr Zabiba, I got suspicious. I phoned the school to check that the contract that I had received from the 'principle' was legitimate, and was informed that it was all a scam. Luckily I hadn't deposited the 2500 durheim yet!
