I had an interview via skype..audio only, no video.
A few days later they said I got the job. Told me to contact Yascine Travel agency to start the visa process.
This agency wanted the money via western union, major red flag. At this point I googled the agency and it brought me to this forum! Thank you all for sharing, it saved me!
Avoid Tawheed Private school and Yascine travel agency!! scammers
Do not continue anything or make any payments.. i made a payment en for sure this is ascam.. Do not make the same mistake please...!!!
I applied for a job at Tawheed Private School in Am Ain, Abu Dhabi. I visited the website of the school and had a voice interview via Skype on 8 January, 2018. Yesterday 10 January, 2018 the school sent me a contract which was quite nice. But afterwards they told me to process the visa through Yascine Travel &tourism company at www.yascinetravel.com
I decided to read the reviews about the company and the first link has brought me here.
I have also found no info about Tawheed Private School.
Thank you very much for sharing this info.
I only regret I've sent my documents to those people.
Hopefully they cannot do anything harmful...
I will generalize a lot, but I have very good reasons to do so. Nigerian = scam.
I just did an interview for UAE also and was directed to Yascine Travel and they also told me about the Western Union thing. But I did my interview for a different school - Tawheed Private School in Al Ain. Can anyone advise. My interviewer wasn't anyone mentioned here, but the name of the person they want me to send the money to via WU is Nigerian.
Charles, with our investigations, you are posting false messages; we advise your to remove the post and stop spoiling the name of Sultan British Private School.
Can any of you who had contact with these people add their contact info to this thread? Is their contact info different from the one shown on the contact page of the website http://sultanbritishschool.com/contact.html ?
Yes, the same guy interviewed me.
Yes, my Skype interview was also just audio.
Just an update, I let them know that I wasn't comfortable with sending them money through Western Union, I also requested pictures of the school, pictures of the students, pictures of the teachers and contacts for some current teachers. They sent me one obviously stock school photo that they had found on google, with no school logo or students in the picture, it could have been anywhere in the world. They supplied me with an email for an apparent teacher at the school called Jones Phil (think they meant Phil Jones) which obviously also sounded very dodgy. So I replied to them and said I wouldn't be taking my application any further and I had made this post about the scam they were trying to run. They emailed me back saying they had reported me to the police, to remove the post within 24 hours or they would make my life very difficult because they have all of my information, not the kind of email you would expect to get from a international school with nothing to hide... It's a blatant scam and I won't be taking the post down.
I went through the same thing....stay away from sultan british private school waled nafeel
I also applied, had an interview on Skype, but only audio, no video, and then was offered a job the following day. They also sent me a contract and got me in touch with Yascine Travel. At that point, things were all off and too many red flags had gone up. I have lived and worked abroad for 7 years and that was just strange and too good to be true. Then I found this and it confirmed my fears. So yeah, it's unfortunately a scam.
Hey, I have recently been offered a position there too,
Can I ask what was the name of the principal that interviewed you, was his name Mr. Waled Fares Nafeel.
Sorry to hear about your incident. By chance do you have any of the email they sent you still and is so could you share them? Thanks in advance all the best.
I contacted the Sultan British Private School in Al Ain, UAE for an ESL position, I was quickly given a skype interview, next day I was told I got the job, it had a nice salary, a website (a little basic for an international school) but you don't usually think too much about it, I booked my one way flight from Shanghai where I have been teaching for 2 years to Abu Dhabi. They put me in contact with a so called travel agency who requested my documents to organize my Visa application ETC, I sent them, then I got an email from the agency saying their payment system is down and I need to send 4200 AED (nearly £1000) via Western Union to a certain address for a Mr Smart Ndidi, I know that Ndidi is a common Nigerian name. Not saying all Nigerians are scammers... But obviously warning bells were going off. After doing further research I could find little further information about the school outside of it's website, no teachers on LinkedIn, no reviews of the school, no reviews of this travel agency. I also couldn't find the school on a list of registered UAE schools. I did find a travel agency with a very similar name to the one who had contacted me. So I think they just chose a similar name to a reputable agency thinking people would fall for this. The scam agency is called Yascine Travel and the real agency is called Yassine Travel.
Quite obviously a scam, luckily I managed to get the majority of my flight money back and didn't send them any money, however I did hand my notice in at my current school, which I should be able to explain to them what happened and I am sure they will understand.
Avoid, just a scam.
