Re Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

I have been reading these because I had the same situation and I was very suspicious. The difference is that the school is from Spain and they got my VC and email form a school in Italy.

The same interview and the accent was very strange nor Italian neither Spanish.

How stupid can you be? Frankly, in the interest of evolution, you deserve to be scammed. Please do not procreate.

Re Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

I did not send my documents at first, all they have is my resume. My response to their initial e-mail was a question, which they ignored and just sent me an automated interview time even though I didn't send them anything they asked for. Should have been my first clue lol.

Just a second ago they sent me an Employment Contract and asked me to send a copy of my passport to the following (to get my "Work Visa")

Company: Portale Pmmigrazione
Contact person: Atty.Nofri Donnino
E-mail: portaleimmigrazione@minister.com
Web: www.portaleimmigrazione.it

I am definitely not going to send them my passport so I am just going to ignore and not reply anymore.

I hope everything works out for you guys!

Re: Re Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

Such a bummer! I wasted my time and my passport. I dont know if I should really take this case seriously. Let me know if you have taken actions by contacting your embassies to void your current passports.

Re: Re Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

Hello there! This is 100% scam.. I personally contacted the owner and general manager of Benedict School. Here's what he said:
Dear Marie Rose,
Thank you for your message. Some dishonest people have put an awful SPAM on Internet offering hard-to-believe teacher job salaries for both the Benedict School in Carpi and Mirandola.
We, neither us nor Mirandola, have published this ad and kindly ask you not to respond to it, it is a SPAM. We have already contacted the POLICE about that and, appart from the fact that it is very difficult to trace them, they reckon these people are looking for personal information, probably to issue fake passports or to start other spams.
We are very sorry for this inconvenience,
Yours truly,

Philippe Bernet

my husband and I also submitted our documents and passport.. They just want your scanned passport so they can make fake ones. Just an advice Go to your DFA or CIC whatever you call it is in your country and report that your passport was stolen so they can give you new passport number and your old passport will be on stop lists..
You can also check benedict school mirandola's website : http://www.benedictschoolmirandola.it/

Re: Re Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

Hopefully nothing will happen. I don't think they would be able to do too much with just a scan of my passport, but maybe I'm being optimistic. Who knows really. Although everything points to it being a scam, I'm still waiting for the scam to come out. They are quite slow moving scammers! I've gotten another email saying to wait 24 hours again. Maybe the scam is just somebody trolling people by making them wait and be paranoid on eslboards...

Re: Re Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

Did you all send your scanned documents? What could possibly happen to those who did? Do you think it´s a big deal?

Re: Re Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

I have also received this message. I'm going further down the rabbit hole, for I too am curious where it leads. So far no information aside from basics has been asked for, still waiting for the "scam" to come out. There's a good amount of information including a facebook page on a Benedict school in Carpi, but no connection to whether or not it is associated with Diazzi or Bosnjak. Since there is so much info about this school online and consistent posts on their facebook page, I would find it rather strange if somebody has set this up as a scam. If they have, they are some hard working scammers, might as well work a real job. But like I said, maybe Diazzi is scamming their school and info too. We'll find out soon enough.

Re: Re Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

I had the exact same experience as you guys...received an e-mail from Dr. Diazzi, had a weird Skype interview with no video and then he told me he was "very impressed" and he would e-mail me Saturday. I am a non-EU citizen too (Canadian).

I got an e-mail saying that I was selected to work at their school in "Carpi" and a representative would reach out to me shortly. Two seconds ago, I got this e-mail. I'm almost tempted to reply to see how far this goes...

Kindly e-mail us with the below details to enable us revert to you with a copy of your employment agreement and details to proceed.

Re: Re Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

And I have just realized a company would have to go through a terrible bureaucratic process if they hire a Non-EU citizen like me. The offer is too good to be true. They haven't gotten in touch with me yet, but I suspect they want their applicants to follow up to make them look legit. We all have similar experiences in our interview with the Dr. Diazzi. I'm convinced this is a scam.

Re: Re Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

What scammers do is they get you interested in the job so much that you will agree to send them money via Western Union to pay for your (fake) visa and (fake) safety deposit/other expenses required by "immigration" (Warning: never send money!). It's usually around US$700-800. If it works the first time, they will ask you to send money again, for something else. When you stop paying, they will stop responding to your emails.

Re Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

I agree with you. There hasn't been any request for money or anything that would prove it a scam through and through. However, red flags have been hoisted high. Proceed with caution. I am in the same boat, awaiting further reply from the Dr. to see what is next. Keep in touch.

Same just happened to me. But what are they "scamming"? They haven't asked for money or anything.

Re Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

Yes, I had the same kinda of reaction to the interview... His picture seemed recorded and I couldn't hear him, so he hung up and told me to call without video... and then his accent was not exactly like the Italian accents I'd heard before.

Re Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

I just had my interview a few hours ago. Indeed, the interview was very odd. For some reason, the video looked recorded. He claimed that he had spotty internet connection so we continued the interview without the video. The interview was really short and he said he was impressed. He'll get back to me on Saturday. I just thought that the offer of this "school" was too good to be true.

Italy Scam (scammers using the name of a real school, Benedict School Mirandola)

Below is the first email I received from the "school." They claimed to be Dr. Frederico Diazzi from the Benedict School Mirandola (which is a real school). They used the email jobs@benedictschoolmirandola.it and always included the email benedictschoolmirandola@gmail.com on the messages. Beyond the first email asking for scans of diploma and passport, and resume and picture, they were to confirm they received the documents and to schedule an interview. I just had the interview and it was very odd (I am still new at this though). He wanted to see how well I spoke English... is this something they do? He quickly asked me things like: describe myself professionally, had I been to Italy before, do I have experience working with children, when could I start, why should he hire me?

I had reached out to a person who said they previously taught at the school and that the school is indeed real, but I would have been contacted by a female Frederica and that email is incorrect.
