Far far into the future
what will the people eat?
Rice and beans
and Soilent Green
but maybe no more meat!
Discuss the rice and beans diet, eaten all over the world. Discuss vegetarianism with your class and discuss Soilent Green if you are lucky enough to find this older movie. Ask students what they think people will eat in the far future. Bacteria processed into various foods perhaps?
Lots of good words here. Point out that vegie is a modern form of vegetable. I picked it up from the American TV show Happy Days.
