Dear Sir / Madame,
I have completed and passed a 120 hour TEFL which was accredited by the Open Distance Learning Quality Council (ODLQC); the feedback I received from the course was very positive and I am happy to share this. Additionally I have a bachelor’s degree (honors) in Economics at a 2.1 grading. English is my native language and throughout my education and onwards it has been a skill I have always been praised upon.
Aside from academic requirements I also hold a number of other skills and traits that make me a suitable fit. Throughout my studies and after I have always been in employment at the same time which shows I am used to the working environment and am able to organize my time efficiently, I have also lived abroad before on my own too which I believe shows that I have the character to adapt to the lifestyle of TEFL teaching and also embrace it. As a person my friends would describe me as happy, motivated and extraverted person which are three qualities that I believe would make a great teacher.
Whilst completing my TEFL course I really began to learn that teaching was something that I would really enjoy; learning the different ways of teaching to various skills sets, ages and groups of people opened my eyes up to how challenging yet rewarding teaching could be. I always remember the teacher I had for a level Economics; he engaged me into the subject and inspired me to study it at degree level. My motivation to be a successful teacher would to be inspire my pupils in the same way that my teacher inspired me, I believe it is this determination and attitude that will be the basis of my success in the class room.
Thank you for taking the time to read my cover email and I look forward to hearing a response from you.
Kind Regards,
