During the years of being self employed as a car cleaner and while being an MOT inspector I also worked part time as a taxi driver. I also used to do a lot of buying and selling.

I have been a racemarshall at oval track motor racing for 25 years. I was promoted over the years to race steward and then clerk of the course.

I have had a very full sporting background. I used to play rugby for my local club, my county and the R.A.F. I was also a competitive swimmer and swam for the club I was a member of and also for my county and again the R.A.F. I also played a lot of table tennis but never actually played for my county, but did get as far as being a substitute.

I have travelled all over the world during my life.

Work wise I am a jack of all trades but master of none. I can put my hand to a lot of things. I am a very experienced driver having been a chauffeur, taxi driver and lorry driver. Having passed the Institute of Advanced Motorist driving test also shows I know what I am doing where driving is concerned. I have been driving for a little over 38 years.

Since September 2007 I have been teaching in China. I am enjoying it. I was in Shanxi for the first year, teaching in a college, and I was then moved by the company I worked for, to a middle school, and university. I then moved to Guangxi, teaching in a middle school.

I am presently at Nanguo Business College, which is part of Guangdong University of Foreign Business as an Oral English teacher. I also help with the Speech Clinic, which helps students with public speaking. I have also taken a Culture class, which was just relating and teaching about the culture of U.K.

I was evaluated as top teacher in my foreign group in my first term here. I am often a judge in English speaking contests in the university.

On top of my classes I also do English corner, English lecture, which is an eighty minute lecture about anything we feel would be interesting to the students and English Time Space, which is a lecture/fun speech for about fifty minutes and then games or a competition revolving around what has been talked about.
