Log onto the Fiji Visitors Bureau site at www.bulafiji.com for general information about the islands. Click on "Activities," then "Weddings."

Hire a wedding planner if you can afford it. Most major resorts have planners on staff who can assist you in putting on a traditional Western ceremony or a Fijian-style affair.

Choose a venue for your wedding. Most weddings are handled through the resorts, which offer everything from a waterfall or garden wedding to a beach or rainforest wedding. Other options include several charming chapels located throughout Fiji or a wedding cruise.

Apply for a marriage license on arrival in Fiji, at the Registrar General's office in Suva or Lautoka. There is no waiting period, and blood tests are not required.

Get married and enjoy some of the local traditions, music and sights.
