English may be the universal language, but don’t you ever wonder why even native English speakers still make grammatical mistakes from time to time? Some native speakers don’t even have a clear understanding of the grammatical rules of English; they just speak and write what they hear or what they have gotten used to. In truth, only those who really study the language in a formal academic setting are able to fully master the ins and outs of English grammar, which is admittedly quite complicated. Unfortunately, as the global boundaries open up, there is now a greater focus on English, and this has raised the bar in terms of the use of the language.
Even if you are a native speaker, you will still find it quite an embarrassment when you commit grammatical mistakes. The problem is, you are so used to speaking the language that you don’t even notice most of these mistakes. They just come out of your mouth or mind.
This means that you may need to re-learn the language, with more focus on its grammatical rules. Flawless English grammar will make you more confident about yourself, and will make you a better communicator. It will also make you confident to speak in your native tongue in front of foreigners who have learned English as a second language more meticulously.
It may seem troublesome, however, for a native speaker like you to enroll in an English language class and re-learn the language. After all, you know the language. You were born with it. All you need is a more detailed and more focused review of the grammatical rules.
For this, you do not have to enroll in an actual class anymore. You can study on your own. Buying a grammar book will help you a lot so you will learn the actual rules. But you should know that you’re in for quite a challenge.
See, your mind has been wired and programmed to speak English in a certain manner. As previously said, you were born in an English speaking environment. Do you often find yourself thinking of which words sound better in the sentence instead of really thinking about which word is grammatically correct? This shows us that most of what we know about English has just been programmed into us, even though we did not consciously learn them. So even if you try to learn correct grammar, somehow the English that has been programmed into you will come out and cause you to make careless slips of the tongue, embarrassing errors that may, in an instant, put a dent on your reputation.
So if you want to achieve perfect and flawless English grammar that will drive critics crazy, you need to overwrite the programming you have received and re-learn the language in the correct, methodical way, with the appropriate focus on grammatical rules. This way, you will no longer wonder which words sound right, but will know that they are correct grammatically.
For this, you will need to do a subliminal programming or a re-programming of your subconscious. So get yourself a subliminal audio or video that teaches English grammar through subliminal learning. You will find a marked improvement in your grammatical skills in no time.
