The Expanish TEFL certification course in Buenos Aires is an English teacher training program for prospective teachers interested in teaching English as a second language.
Expanish offers two course options: 120 hour or 150 hour TEFL Course.
The 4 week, 120 hour program follows the internationally recognized standards set by the University of Cambridge CELTA.
The 4 week, 150 hour program is one of the few institutes accredited by the UK College of Teachers.
Students in both of our TEFL courses will work individually and in groups, have the opportunity to attend multiple teaching workshops, and perform 8 hours of practice teaching throughout the four weeks of classes, in addition to the regular instruction hours.
Our TEFL program focuses on both a comprehensive TEFL learning experience as well as cultural immersion, offering students various course supplements including cultural activities, skill workshops, day or weekend trips, and excursions throughout Argentina in order to obtain a more complete cultural immersion experience while studying in Buenos Aires.
Daily activities include:Weekly group dinners, city culture tours, art museum and gallery visits, cultural exhibitions and concerts, and local sporting events.
Excursions include: Day trip to the riverside town of Tigre which includes boat rides and sport activities; day trip to a local Estancia (Argentina ranch) including horseback riding and a traditional asado (barbecue);weekend trips to the Mendoza wine region, the Iguazú Falls, and much more!
Workshops include:Argentine Tango, Fileteado Painting, photography, polo lessons, wine tasting, cooking
TEFL students may also supplement their TEFL program by adding on Spanish Classes (one week minimum), internship placement, or a community volunteer program.
All participants of the Expanish TEFL programs have the option of a home-stay, shared student apartment, dorm style hostel, or hotel. Housing options are screened by the Expanish staff in order to ensure all student accommodation is safe, secure, and meets our students’ standards. Factors taken into consideration when choosing each student’s accommodation include dietary and health concerns, proximity to classes, study habits, and personal preferences.
