Cheongju University is one of the oldest universities located south of the Han River. If history is the process of a constant search for new values, the history of Cheongju University reflects this passionate search and creation of new meanings.
Kim Won-Kun and his brother, Kim Young-Kun, were the founders of Cheongju University, formerly known as the Chongsuk Academic Foundation(est. 1924).
Since its inception, the Chongsuk Academic Foundation has become one of the cradles of national education in Korea. Keeping the founding ideals in mind, the University has been trying to cultivate its students to become people of academic and personal sincerity.
