English schools in Japan
Universal Language Institute (ULI) was founded on February 6, 1989.
ULI provides English language teachers to private junior and senior high schools, elementary schools, kindergartens, vocational schools, business colleges, junior colleges, and universities throughout the Greater Tokyo area.
Since its inception, ULI has dedicated itself to the development of English language education. Through our resource library and comprehensive teacher training, we are proud to be in the forefront of educating Japanese people to speak, think, and understand English.
All of our teachers at ULI are experienced and dedicated educators. Our teachers come from America, Australia, Canada, Great Britain, and New Zealand. Although our teachers are already experienced when they enter our company, they are required to go through a 2-week training program at the end of March to familiarize themselves with what to expect in the Japanese classroom. This training is structured in the form of workshops and seminars to help teachers share ideas and teaching techniques.
