English schools in Japan
Our college and career preparatory program provides rigorous academic and co-curricular experiences that prepare students to have an impact on the world for Jesus Christ. Our alumni are testimony to the extra-ordinary combination of excellent teaching, caring and collaborative community, and unique exposures that CAJ offers.
Christian Academy in Japan is a K-12 school established in 1950 to provide Christ-centered education to the children of evangelical missionaries. While continuing in this purpose, CAJ also serves many other families who desire this type of education for their children. CAJ is committed to equipping students to impact the world for Christ.
Our program is communicated in the English language and is based upon an American approach which uses United States educational standards, course sequences and options (college preparatory and career), instructional materials, standardized tests, educational research, and cocurricular activities. We have a hostel for students who live too far from CAJ to commute.
We have been fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges since 1976. We are affiliated with the Association of Christian Schools International and Christian Schools International and the East Asia Regional Council of Overseas Schools. Our hostel is a candidate for accreditation with the Association of Christian Schools International for the term November 2003-November 2006.
