Do you want your child to experience Canadian culture and master the English language with a qualified English teacher? Look no further. I offer a unique program aimed at providing children ages 8-12 the experience of a life time in Vancouver, Canada.
I am currently living in South Korea where I teach English at a private academy. Next spring (May 2011) I will be returning home to be closer to family and friends. I have accepted a Kindergarden teaching position at the local public school board to commence in September 2011.
I know how important education is for Korean children and believe that the younger a child is exposed to a new language, the quicker and better the results will be. Parents can expect their child to master the English language without a hint of an accent in as little as a year, provided children are immersed fully.
Children will live with me and be under my care. They will attend a private or public school while continuing private English lessons with me. Children will participate in school clubs, local activities and will contribute to the community through volunteering. On weekends and holidays, children will be exposed to cultural activities much like any other Canadian child (camping, skiing, hiking). Children will be treated as a member of the family and will participate in family gatherings (Christmas and Birthday celebrations).
Up to 3 children are accepted into the homestay program per school year (September - June) and 4 children in summer (July and August). Children share a large dorm-style room with private bathroom and ample storage. Each child has comfortable sleeping arrangements, private clothes storage, and work station.
Everything is included in the monthly fee, such as: transportation within the country, bedroom, nutritious meals, guardianship, English lessons, cultural experiences, airport pick-up/drop-off.
Please contact Laura for more information. Let's arrange to meet while I'm in Korea and get to know each other.
