Age restrictions working in China

Can anyone tell me if there are any age restrictions, to old, for working in China? I am getting lot of conflicting information and have had several job applications rejected because of "government regulations". I am 59 years old,certified(TESOL) and have about 25 years experience in ESL.Thanks.
