Health and weight loss certainly overlap. This is especially true in the sense that weight loss independently improves health parameters such as blood pressure, blood cholesterol, triglycerides and blood sugar response. These health parameters can sometimes improve strictly because of the weight loss alone, regardless of which diet was used to lose the weight (which can sometimes confound a lot of arguments about which type of diet is healthier. Low carb groups claim theirs is healthier, while plant-based diet groups claim theirs is healthier, when all along, it was the weight loss that probably caused the initial, immediate health improvements).
