The Anglo-American Section is a test centre for all major American and British examinations: SAT, ACT, AP, TOEFL, GCEs, etc.
The "Institut Dr. Schmidt" was established in 1889 by Dr. Ulrich Schmidt. Within just a short period of time, the founder gained an international reputation and the school enjoyed its first heyday around the turn of the century. After the First World War and the founder's death in 1924, the "Institut" was faced with a number of difficulties, which were resolved by transforming the school into an educational foundation in 1930. Thus the "Institut Dr. Schmidt" became the Institut auf dem Rosenberg, and ever since then, the name of Gademann has been closely connected with it.
After the Second World War, the further advancement of the Institut auf dem Rosenberg continued. In the early fifties, the school became an examination centre offering a range of national examinations, and its various sections have since been preparing students for German, Swiss, Italian and Anglo-American qualifications and certificates.
