English schools in Europe
Slavic-Anglo-American School "Marina" (SAAS "Marina") is a foreign lanquage school that opened its doors for the first time in September 1990. (Official registration date is January 31, 1991).
The school consists of three levels: elementary-, middle- and high-school. These cover the total range of a regular Russian school, from ages six to seventeen (grades 1 to 11). Students beginning at the elementary level are able to follow the program through to its completion. Therefore, it is possible to enter at that level and remain in the regular program for eleven years.
Older students entering at the intermediate or upper levels, who have little or no language background, spend one year in an immersion or preparatory group ("courses or supplemental school"). They are then mainstreamed into the regular program.
Russian and English are the working languages.
