English schools in Europe

Portugal - Lisboa
School:Línguas & Línguas Language School

With nearly 20 years of experience in the field of language teaching and translation work, Línguas & Línguas Language School represents one of the most successful schools in Lisbon today.

Línguas & Línguas was set up by a group of teachers from various countries who brought with them a wealth of pedagogical, linguistic and managerial experience from other schools. It is because they are all highly motivated, dedicated and qualified language —teaching professionals that they are able to dedicate their professional time exclusively to catering for the need’s of YOU our clients, who are always the focus of our business.

For many years Linguas & Linguas was associated with the tradition, excellence and world-wide reputation of the Inlingua Group of International Language Schools, ending that association in August 2001. However Linguas & Linguas has brought with it not only the best of its teachers and wealth of experience but also its essential pedagogical characteristics using the "Direct Method" which has been retained by both managers and teaching staff.

The "Direct Method" which we use at Linguas & Linguas is based on the direct and constant communication between teacher and student without taking recourse to using the student’s native language. In this way the student enjoys maximum exposure to the language being learnt and is encouraged to recycle the language material that has been learnt in previous lessons.

Linguas & Linguas not only concentrates on one-to-one teaching but also in small groups of up to five students in which students are given ample time to speak and interact with each other while the teacher is able to devote the maximum time possible to the students’ needs.
