English schools in China
Anji County, Zhejiang, PRC is perhaps best known from the movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”, where several scenes were filmed in what is known as the ‘Bamboo Sea’. A special economic county in China, Anji is famous for growing more types of bamboo and rattan than any other place in the world. Anji has a population of roughly 450,000 people; this is the kind of county size that gives you a chance to get involved in Chinese culture!
Within the school itself, we have two foreign teachers, 160 Chinese staff/teachers, and 1,700 students. Our staff, teachers, and students want to make sure you thrive at this school and will often lend an extra hand to make sure that you do. Many of the children board here on campus so the environment sometimes feels like that of a very extended family! The children attending the school range from age 6-16 (grades one through nine) and are very eager to learn English!
