English schools in Asia
Welcome to Assumption College Sriracha – the largest school on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand. Assumption College Sriracha (ACS) is a prestigious Catholic school which has been educating children since 1944. It is renowned for its academic and sporting excellence, and offers a wide variety of educational programmes.
ACS has expanded its English courses dramatically in recent years. ACS now offers four specially-designed study areas: the English Programme (EP), Special English Programme (SEP) Extra Tuition for English (ETE) and Mini English Programme (MEP).
Each course has been approved by the Thai Ministry of Education.
ACS employs nearly 30 native English speakers to teach students using communicative methods of teaching. Students are also able to study for internationally-recognised Cambridge exams which test their levels of English.
The English Programme (EP) is in every year group up to Mathayom 2.
EP students study in classes of 30 children or less. Students have around 15 lessons a week studying English, maths and science with native English speakers.
This year there is a new Special English Programme (SEP). SEP students study English five times a week in classes of around 17 children, taught by native English speakers.
In the Mini English Programme (MEP) students receive around five lessons of English each week.
In addition, Assumption is continuing the Extra Tuition for English classes, which are held throughout the week after the main school day, and also on Saturdays. This offers an ideal opportunity for students who wish to learn additional English skills, or want to revise skills they have already learned.
